Kerblob Play now

Privacy policy

This page explains what data Kerblob collects when you play, what it is used for and how long it is kept. Kerblob is an independent game made by en3sis (en3sis.com). It applies to kerblob.com and to the Kerblob game on CrazyGames.

What we collect

  • Player profile: a random player id created the first time you play, your nickname, match results, rating, XP, quests and achievements.
  • Discord, if you link an account: your Discord user id, username and profile picture. We only ask Discord for the identify permission, so we never see your email address or messages.
  • CrazyGames, if you play there while logged in: your CrazyGames user id, username and profile picture, sent to us by CrazyGames.
  • Match data: who played, the result of each round and gameplay counts such as crystals collected, steals and dashes.
  • Device and connection: device type (phone, tablet or desktop), browser family, country and ping. Country comes from your IP address through Cloudflare.
  • Usage events: which menus you open, the site that sent you to Kerblob (site name only) and performance numbers such as frame rate.

What we do not collect

  • We do not ask for your email address, real name, age or payment details. There are no purchases in the game.
  • There is no chat or voice in the game.
  • We do not save your IP address or your full browser user agent in our database.
  • Kerblob does not use advertising or tracking cookies.

How we use it

  • To run matches, keep your progress and show the leaderboard. This is needed to provide the game you choose to play.
  • To stop abuse. Your IP address is held in server memory to limit how many requests, connections and Beat Jev matches can come from one address. Each limit clears after at most 1 hour.
  • To fix bugs and balance the game, using the match data, device data and usage events listed above.

What other players can see

Your nickname, profile picture, rating, stats and match history are public on the leaderboard and on your player profile. Other players in a match see your nickname and profile picture. Match starts and results, with nickname, country and ping, are also posted to a Kerblob Discord channel.

Data stored on your device

  • Cookies on kerblob.com: auth_token and refresh_token keep you signed in (1 hour for guests, 30 days for linked accounts). gleam_claimDismissed hides the link account prompt for 2 days.
  • Local storage: your nickname, settings such as sound and reduced motion, tutorial progress and a device key that lets you get back to your guest profile.
  • On CrazyGames there are no Kerblob cookies. Sign-in uses a token that is kept in memory and lasts 1 hour.

Services that receive data

  • Cloudflare runs the network in front of kerblob.com and sees your IP address and country.
  • Google Fonts serves the fonts, so your browser connects to Google and Google sees your IP address.
  • Discord, only if you link a Discord account.
  • CrazyGames, when you play on CrazyGames. Their own privacy policy covers their site, accounts and ads.
  • Beat Jev sends the positions and scores of the match to an AI service (TypeSafe) to choose the bots' moves. No name, id or IP address is sent.
  • Game servers run in Europe and the United States. The database is in Europe.

How long we keep it

  • Detailed usage events: 14 days.
  • Daily activity records linked to your player id: 180 days.
  • Sign-in sessions: 30 days.
  • Your profile, stats and match history: until you delete your profile.

Your rights

In the game, open Settings and go to Your data. Download my data saves a copy of your profile, match history, quests and achievements as a file. Delete my profile deletes it straight away: your name, profile picture, rating, XP, quests, achievements, linked Discord or CrazyGames account, sign-in sessions and usage events are removed. Your past matches stay in other players' history under the name Deleted player. On kerblob.com you can change your nickname at any time. On CrazyGames it comes from your CrazyGames account.

If you can no longer open your profile, for example after clearing your browser data, or you think a child's data should be removed, contact the developer through en3sis.com. Kerblob does not ask for your age. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
